The Big Beast: Diplodocus is a Giant Dinosaur With a Weird Style.

             Diplodocus was the biggest dinosaur to roam the Earth ( Dinosaur, David Norman, 1989) about 175 feet long. Diplodocus' head is small compared to its body, less than 2 feet in size. The Plant Stripper: Diplodocus Have a Weird Way of Eating and a Weird Diet.

             Diplodocus is a herbivore which means they only eat plants and they must eat a lot of plants too. Diplodocus have a special way of eating. They can put a branch of leaves in its mouth.After it puts the branch in its mouth it scrapes all  of the leaves off and spits it out.

           These are the bones in the arms of the Diplodocus: Radius (fore arm), Ulna (fore arm), Humerus (upper arm, funny bone), and the Scalpa (shoulder blade). These are the bones in the legs of the Diplodocus: Pubis (hip bone), Ischium (hip bone), Femur (thigh bone), Tibia (shin), and the Fibula (calf bone). The diplodocus has 2 different kinds of chevrons: the Elongated Chevron and the Flat Chevron. The skull of the Diplodocus (as shown below) has holes in it where the eyes should be.           Diplodocus have tiny brains. They have about 100 vertebrae in there neck and tail. They lived in the Jurrasic period about 154 million years ago. The Diplodocus is  a sauropod. The Diplodocus ate rocks to help help grind and digest food called gastroliths.
